Why I chose this engraving: tradition, transmition. Virgil to Dante. Dante to generations. Italian Renaissance masters to Italian 18th century painter to this unfamous engraver to this unfamous tarot. From a chain link to another. Ad vitam aeternam. The wrong side of this beautiful process in illustrated by... a book. Writing things is freezing them and make them die, petrificated. Libraries are cemeteries. Knowledge is cold dogma, wisdom must move, adapt and shine.

Pourquoi j'ai choisi cette gravure : tradition, transmission. Virgile à Dante. Dante à des générations. Des maîtres italiens de la Renaissance au peintre italien du 18ème siècle à ce graveur méconnu à ce tarot méconnu. D'un maillon à l'autre. Ad vitam aeternam. L'envers de ce beau procédé est illustré par... un livre. Écrire, c'est figer les choses et les faire mourir, pétrifiées. Les bibliothèques sont des cimetières. La connaissance est un dogme froid, la sagesse doit bouger, s'adapter, briller.
