Why I chose this painting : I could make a whole tarot with Caravaggio... Saint Peter is an hanged man in many ways : he first stay behind, in a no commitment attitude toward Jesus. Than, he changes his mind and finish his life in the sacrifice for faith he finally embrace

Pourquoi j'ai choisi ce tableau : je pourrais faire tout un tarot avec Caravage... Saint Pierre est un pendu à bien des égards : il reste d'abord en retrait, dans une attitude de non-engagement envers Jésus. Ensuite, il change d'avis et finit sa vie dans le sacrifice pour la foi qu'il embrasse enfin.
